Angela Hall Dobbins’ Bio

Angela Hall Dobbins is a Christian life coach and founder of True Living Today. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Angela came to know Jesus Christ at the age of eight. At age eleven she dedicated her life to God and became obedient in baptism. She attended Temple Christian School in Fort Worth, Texas for the next six years. After graduating from High School, Angela attended college, married, graduated from nursing school, and was blessed by God with the adoption of a beautiful baby girl.

Throughout her life, Angela has had a strong desire to follow Christ's example and to serve and reach out to others. As a Christian teen, she was an academic leader in her school, a member of the American Christian Honor Society, member of a youth music ministry, AWANA Club leader, student tutor and mentor to younger children, and an active church member. As an adult, she has served as a Girl Scout leader, foster parent, youth ministry coordinator, Christian program developer, children’s ministry and VBS director, and adult Sunday school teacher. In addition, her involvement with and commitment to family have been characteristic throughout her life, as she is a devoted mother and aunt.

After moving to Anna, TX with her family in 1992, Angela served for several years as the Staff Development and Training Coordinator at Meadowbrook Care Center in Van Alstyne, Texas. There she shared her commitment to service as an LVN, Nurse Aide Training instructor, CPR and continuing education instructor, an advocate for residents rights and quality care, and as a coordinator of employee team support programs. It was while working at MCC that Angela discovered her gift for teaching and God’s call upon her life for Christian ministry. In 1996, God first placed the vision for ministry in her heart. Since that time, it has been her desire and passion to serve God according to that vision.

From 1999 until October 2002, supported by her husband, Angela actively ministered to her community of Anna, Texas with programs like The Sunshine Club for girls, True Life Bible Study for local nursing home residents, and with other programs for children and youth. In addition, her ministry scope included Biblical and supportive counseling. In 2004, having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and sensory disorder just two years earlier, Angela lost the ability to work in her previous capacity. After surviving a divorce, and while dealing with the life-changing effects of her illness, she prayerfully sought God's guidance concerning a future occupation and His calling upon her life. While her desire to pursue Christian ministry continued, it was soon that she discovered the field of life coaching and completed her training in 2007. She now views life coaching as a valuable ministry tool through which God may allow her the opportunity to assist and serve others, while glorifying Him with her life's work.

Today, Angela aspires to focus her time, outside of family and her relationship with God, upon sharing God's love with others through life coaching, Biblical counseling, writing Christian articles and teaching materials, and serving in children’s ministry at her church.  She is also pursuing an advanced diploma in Biblical Counseling through Light University and is a member of the the International Christian Coaching Association.

As founder of True Living Today, Angela has sought to share the vision God has placed in her heart with others and to use her talents to promote programs and resources which offer caring Christian guidance, practical teaching, insight, support, and encouragement. God has given her a strong desire to carry Christ's message of love, grace, and hope to those in need of a caring heart, an uplifting word, and an outstretched hand.
